Rinse and repeat – save time on other coursework with this tip
Once you have completed R082 (or whichever piece of coursework you completed first) you will have 2 other pieces of coursework to go.
All of the coursework modules follow the same structure LO1, LO2, LO3 and LO4. Due to this, there are some parts of the coursework that are nearly exactly the same. As there is a lot to do in these pieces of coursework, it is not worth your time to simply re-do everything from scratch when you will more than likely have 80% of what you need already done in your first piece of coursework.
So, what can you take from your first piece or coursework and re-purpose?
Mind map – a lot of the ideas from the mind map will potentially carry over into other coursework modules as you will have branches for target audience, colours etc. Copy this across and change a few of the values. There is no need to make a new one from scratch for each piece of coursework.
Work plan – again, if you left the descriptions of tasks non specific, EG – create mind map, create work plan etc, you should be able to copy this across and again edit where necessary depending on what needs to be done in the project. The structure should all be in place – don’t waste time making this again when you have already done it!
Legal considerations – this will already have been written about and all you may need to do is copy from the last piece of coursework and maybe change a few words around. For example you may need to talk about copyright of sounds instead of the copyright of images.
It’s important to note that these sections will need to have been done right in the first place for you to successfully copy them across. Your teacher may be able to give you some guidance on this.
Recap
These are just 3 examples of where you can save yourself some time by copying across some of your work from other coursework modules and editing them to fit in with your current project. If you did it all right first time – save yourself some time and don’t make it all again!
