Website update 26/6/22
Today marks the introduction of our first course for the new J834 Creative iMedia specification.
Starting at the beginning, our new course covers the R093 exam module and specifically covers section 1.1 all about the media industry sectors and products.
As with our other courses, this one features audio read outs of the course content, and an end of topic quiz for students to test themselves on the knowledge learned in the course.
As the specification is new, there will certainly be revisions to the course as more information becomes available from OCR but the basics are in place to expand upon.
Moving forward, other sections of the new specification will be released when completed and as time allows. Putting together the courses takes a lot of time and effort so releasing the content episodically is the best way for us to achieve a steady output of courses in time for the September start.
We’d also like to include suggested tasks for students to complete as part of these courses (making them of a full lessons worth of content instead of more of a revision tool) and include further information if a student wanted to look into augmented reality in more detail for example.
Videos would also be a great thing to add, but again this takes time to write, create and produce.
Our aim for September is to produce courses for most of the R093 section of the specification in a fairly stripped back fashion and add more content to these as we move forward. This in itself will be a really tough schedule but all being well, I’m hoping that it can get done.
