Website update 24/1/22
It’s been far too long, but finally today, the site has undergone some changes to bring it back up to speed. Let’s go through some of the updates:
- New section added that talks about what iMedia is and FAQs about iMedia
- New login added
- New account view added for logged in users
- Login and register buttons hidden when logged in on main nav bar
- Blog styled to look a lot nicer
- Feature added for R082 on the software that can be used for it
- Mobile view issues caused by a plugin fixed
- iMedia points activated
- iMedia points added to all quizzes
- What are iMedia points? FAQ added
- Slight transparency added to main white container
- Breadcrumbs added to site to aid navigation
- Featured images added to pages and to blog posts
- Small style improvements elsewhere
Phew!
Probably the biggest update is our adding of iMedia points to the site. Now if you sign up to the website you can earn points when you take a quiz and you even get points when you sign up. This is really going to help to gamify the site and help students come back to do quizzes so that they can earn points.
There will be some further additions to help support this further on, especially being added to our new look profile and account page.
Put simply, the account page when you logged on used to look like you were in the admin page of the site(you weren’t it just wasn’t styled very well). It didn’t look good but now this has changed with a new style to make it look a lot more inviting and there will be some further enhancements to this shortly to show iMedia points and where you have got them from etc.
Over the next few days, the aim is to build the site up with some fresh content and some more improvements and get the site ready for the year.
This year also sees the change over of Creative iMedia to the new specification so we’ll be getting things ready for this change come the change in September.
I’ll leave the post here for now – there’s a lot more changes I want to get on with.
Thank you so much for your support!
